Young Conservation Leaders to Convene Online for 4th East Atlantic Flyway Youth Forum
This October, emerging environmental leaders from across the East Atlantic Flyway will come together for the 4th East Atlantic Flyway Youth Forum (EAFYF), a two-day virtual event focused on turning global environmental commitments into meaningful local action.
Centred around the theme “From Policy to Practice: Bringing the Ramsar COP to Life,” this year’s forum will spotlight key outcomes from the 15th Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP15) to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. In the face of escalating climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, the forum underscores the vital role of youth in advancing the goals of international environmental agreements.
Organised by the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS), Migratory Birds for People (MBP), and Youth Engaged in Wetlands (YEW), the forum invites participants aged 18–30 from coastal countries along the East Atlantic Flyway. Attendees will explore the Ramsar Convention’s relevance, share experiences, and collaborate on ideas to support its implementation throughout the Flyway.
The event will offer live interpretation in English and French to ensure accessibility and inclusivity.
